Default what 10's do you like?

I have not been listening to many brands lately but have been considering a small system in my truck. I swapped the bench for an explorer buckets/consol and I am going go build a box to fit in the consol. It has a huge storage area for the cd changer of the time to fit as well as more empty space where the airvents fed the rear passengers and if I gut most of it I think I can squeeze .5-.75 cubic feet sealed. I listen mainly to rock, sometimes a little electronic or techno music if I want to feel some bass. I do not have an amp yet so I am open to suggestions. Anybody have anything new or exciting or is it the same old stuff?

Rockford Fosgate P2's sound great! I had two in my truck and it was plenty of loud and clear bass.

I hear good things about the alpine type X and polk audio subs as well but it will be hard to beat the P2 for the price.

I am partial to ID and Digital Designs. My buddy had in his two door explorer in Id10 sound real good. I would go for it.

that is what I am leaning towards. I can get a good deal on their new amps and I might just match it up with some componants when I get some cash.

My current design delima is I can't decided if a down-firing or back-firing box will sound better.

Got a link? and will it handle power? I decided to resurect my original idea in the truck and use my phoenix gold limited edition octane that I have had buried in my closet. I hate how big it is and it will probably require a larger alternator but it is paid for....
