What ever the reason for it I dont know. Maybe there was a some crack or something I didnt see. ANything is possible. All I know is there was a crack and it wasnt there before I started the stereo project. Whether or not it was tempered, dont know. Maybe it was cheap knock off glass. I dont know. AND, since when are back windows tempered? I thought only front windows were tempered?

It can still crack. Maybe not break completely, but it should still crack. Right or wrong?

windsheilds are laminated glass. the rest of the windows are tempered. so when a back glass breaks it shatters. some back windows maybe laminated also. but in order for you to crack it there would have had to have been a crack or chip in it to begin with. may have been in the seal. the only way that spl could ever crack glass is if its the only way for the air to escape.

back glass is almost 90% tempered on newer cars. i doubt they make a laminated back glass i can call my glass distrubitor and check but not likely. maybe your glass is tinted? then the glass would break but still hold together cause of the tint

truth but mad flexing does cause glass to crack. but it would have to be a ton of pressure in order for it to happen.

i can try and help explain why kicker is so bad (this all takes place within two and a half years). I had my system built to correct box specs tuned accordingly powerd by the reccommended amp tuned by a professional installer AND blew two L5 10" speakers within 8 months. one was a burned VC and the other just stopped working literally. AND that was after i busted up two 10" L5 cones in the kicker built box that my kicker came in, that was also tuned by a professional installer. I just dont think kicker's quality is up to snuff. I have in total blown up 4 10" L5's and 1 12" L5. and ALL were in correctly built boxes and tuned by professionals. I just dont see why there is a reason to give them a chance.

they do hit hard. they will hurt your ears, but they dont last. and they give poor sq. that's why im moving on.
