no sound after installing radio

im trying to install an alpine radio to a 88 gt conv. no sound comming out of speakers i was told ther is a factory amp i found it but i cant find a diag to to help me turn the damn thing on so if anybody can help i would realy appreciate it

you can bypass it or hook up the amp turn on wire from the cd player to the wire harness.

there are two sets of wire hanresses that go to the amp. If you follow them one will go up towards the back of the glove box and connect to a black 8 pin harness that looks EXACTLY like the one you have your aftermarket speaker harness connected to. Disconnect that harness from the one it is plugged into and then pull the male end down into the radio area, there is plenty of slack. Now plug your speaker harness into that and you have just bypassed the factory amp.

On page 2 of my cardomain page I show how to bypass the system in my 94 gt. I point to the bypass harness and while it is in slightly different location then yours it still looks the same.

no didnt work i went ahead and hard wired it in thanks anyways
