Show me your fox trunk set ups!
I'm in Surprise. Little town down Bell Rd.
@Toto: For now I'll be using a Pioneer 2-channel amp with 300 watts going to two Alpine E 12in subs with voice coils. I plan to change to Rockford Fosgate products and going to 400 watts for each sub though.
Or is there something better you recommend? And please explain what you meant by volume and port.

I am on the other side of town in gilbert.
One of the most important things to a subwoofer other then what is powing it is what kind of box it is in. Each brand/type of speaker has different recomendations that are given with the speaker for how big of a box it should be in. The most simple enclosure is just a plain sealed box that has no opening. Ported boxes have hole in them that has a specific length tube(normally inside of the box) that allows the box/speakers output to be tuned to be louder at specific frequencies. Porting a box is not as simple as just pokin a hole in the box and needs to be done carefully after some calculating.
I myself normally just go sealed..... To me it is easier to tune the signal through electronic manupulation in the form of an EQ or basscube that allows you to change it later if you want.
If you are looking for a good shop to do work, checkout soundwerks on bell rd. I use to work at the one on scottsdale blvd and the owner is the kind of guy that goes out of his way to take care of you. He is not the cheapest in town but you can get a $1 wire fire almost anywere now and you get what you pay for.
