Factory 1993 Mustang OEM CD player: Amplifier remote lead - for amp turn on/off
Which wire should I splice into for this to work. I'd really not like to have a manual switch for this remote turn on/off. Be nice if this lead was pulled from the radio harness. Again this is for an 993 OEM CD player going to Punch amplifier. I will have the hi/lo convertor installed for signal RCA, just need the lead for the remote cable. Appreciate you input.

if you are replacing the deck then I would recomend finding one with rca outputs rather then using an loc.
Most decks are equiped with a remote turn on wire(blue or blue/white) that is made to do exactly what you want. The ford amps like a 6v turn on rather then a 12v so if you put a 1.5k resistor inline on that wire it will stop the turn on pop.

Yea, I have an
aftermarket cd, but want to use the factory cd now. Just looking for the specific wire to splice from. A lead from behind the head unit preferrably or off the factory amp will work also.

gotcha. The stock remote turn on is a funny 6v output that will not be enough to turn on an aftermarket amp. It should be enough to flip a relay so if you understant them you can wire it. OTherwise you will be needing to use the +12 ignition to turn the amp on until you put the new deck in. I don't have that specific color to give you, I always grab a meter and take the 5 secs to ensure that I have the correct wire.
