Default amp skip Please help

Hi I have the mtx rtp404 4ch amp, recently I have not been able to play the radio due to the amp skipping. I have replaced the headunit due to amp outputs going bad, went from panasonic to pioneer def-p5100ub. I have searched the wires and connections but can not find a reason for it. Please help...

with almost 15 yrs of install experience you will have to explain the technical term of "amp skip". Is the power going off completely with all the lights turning off or is just the sound going in and out?

What kind of speakers is the amp hooked up to.

I can't tell if the power is going on and off i need to hook up a dmm to see that. but it is the sound going off and on. I checked all grounds in the area as well as checking for shorts in the speakers. I think i may be removing parts 2marrow.

well i have looked through the car found a bad spot were the rear seat somehow cut into wires. It is now fixed but still has the same issue of clipping so i think it may be the amp.
