this is for my sons 2001 mustang, trying to get him something that he can add a sub and an amp to latter with out having to upgrade the head unit. money is an issue(for him)

Not a bad unit but for the money you can get better through online retail stores.

probably true, however, thur bestbuy, i get a professional installation, a warranty and if we ever sell it they will put the oem hu back in for free.

I bought an Alpine HU several years ago through Crutchfield, they give you all the harness' and stuff for free

The install of an aftermarket headunit is extremely easy. I just did it in my 03 GT last weekend in an hour. remember that the stock head unit in your stang has a AMP already in it. I learned this the hard way. If your going to put an alpine in ur ride, you'll need an amp too to push the speakers. I didnt compensate for the amp being gone and my speakers werent getting enough juice. I went back to factory...
