Hey guys, i have a Sony CDX-M8800 head unit in my mustang. I think its about 2 years old or something like that. It has worked fine up until now. Yesterday it just abruptly stopped reading CD's. I can put in a CD and it will say reading for a minute or so, and then flashes error and ejects the CD. The CD's arent scratched at all, so that cant be the problem (and i tried a couple of CD's). could i possibly use one of the lens brush cds to make it work? it seems like its more of an issue than a dirty lens though. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would try to clean the lens, it is at least worth a shot. If all else fails you can send it in to Sony if you really care for the deck or get a new one.

^^haha sony is good but not so much with car audio. Try cleaning the lense first if that doesnt work you might be up the creek
