What Can You Tell Me About Crossfire Amps and Subs?
Hey guys,
When I bought my '00 GT a couple months ago it came with a Crossfire VR142 amp and a Crossfire sub. While they sound good to me, I know nothing about the amp, the sub or about Crossfire as a company in general. Are they more of a budget company? Would I be better off upgrading it to something else?
Thanks Guys,
Christian

I wouldnt consider them a "budget" company by any means. They have some quality SPL grade speakers and amps as well as some entry level stuff too.I wouldnt waste money upgrading, you might not gain much for what its going to cost you. I have sold some Crossfire subs and they take a beating pretty good, none have ripped or blew. They recently relocated to Texas from California, so i haven seen their newer lines.
IIRC, Crossfire has a protected dealer network, similar to Memphis Car Audio. This site lists their products: http://www.woofersetc.com/b25/Crossfire.htm BUT I would say buyer beware if you choose to deal with them. I've had both good and bad experiences with that company and they are NOT authorized to sell most of the stuff that they say they are authorized to sell.
Lastly, I have a BMF1000d from back in the day and it is still going strong.
