Default Subwoofer Help

hello all!
I'm brand new to this forum and looking for some technical help
i've recently just purchased a brand new 2010 mustang - grabber blue -
i also recently purchased a 15" kicker competition subwoofer with a 2000 watt legacy amp and a wiring kit. just wondering if somebody can direct me as to how to remove the radio surround/how to run wires and hook it all up?

Why not just tap a Line Output Converter off the rear deck speakers to run to the signal input of your amp? Other than that, you can find something that is keyed to the accessory/ignition in the fusebox so that your amp turns on and off with the key and run your power wire straight from the battery to your amp.

I think the fuses are called pigtail fuses and will allow you to replace an accessory/ignition on item in the fuse box and tie into the remote turn-on lead.

If your amp has high level inputs, you would be able to do it. I always recommend a Line Output Converter to change the speaker level outputs from the factory deck to RCAs. There is a PAC unit that has a gain control that I like to use: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...AC+SNI-35.html

Of course, I must take this opportunity to warn you that Legacy amplifiers are very hit or miss and their customer service department is generally less than helpful.
