Default Should I replace my Shaker 500 Head Unit?

Looking for some advice. I removed an Eclipse AVN4430 from another vehicle that I sold. Link to the unit on Eclipse website: http://www.eclipse-web.com/us/avn/avn4430overviews.html

It's a double DIN, CD/DVD/Detachable TomTom GPS. I liked the unit well enough in the previous vehicle, but it was paired with some pretty good amps/speakers/sub. I think the sound of the Shaker 500 in my '07 GT sounds pretty darn good...not looking to spend thousands on trying to improve it. It's not my main vehicle, more of a weekend car anyway. I know I'd need the PAC Ford Radio Replacement Interface from Crutchfield to utilize the Eclipse head unit. My question is this: is it worth spending the money on the PAC and the install, or should I just eBay the AVN? Will it sound at least as good as the Shaker unit it replaces? Or should I be looking at also replacing factory speakers/amps? All of them? Just some of them? I guess I'm just wondering how this AVN unit matches up with the Ford head unit? Will it match up with the Ford amps/speakers? Drive them OK? Or is the Ford head unit going to sound better simply because it was designed to go with the rest of the stuff?

Thanks!

dont necessarily need the pac, many use the 10 dollar metra harness. IMO put it in, it will sound better then stock
