I can't get any radio stations or play my ipod thru the radio without static. I looked under my dash and noticed the previous owner installed a shorter antenna but didn't hook it up to the radio. The plug end is just hanging there.

I'm wanting to hook it up. Can someone tell me if I can do this without having to pull the radio out. If I have to pull the radio can someone tell me how to pull it. I don't see any holes to put hanger U tools in so it must be different then what I found while searching.

I have a stock 6 disc CD changer.

If I can just hook it up without pulling the radio can someone tell me which side of the radio to look behind to find the antenna female end on the radio.

I have a bad back and I'd like to spend the least amount of time twisted under the dash so any help would be appreciated.

 

the factory antenna goes back behind the glove box, and then connects to the cable that goes through the firewall and connects to the outside shaft. It is not uncommon for someone wanting just another inch of cable to pull on the antenna, and then disconnect that spot behind the glove box. See if the other end is there and then plug it in.

 

I was able to get the antenna plugged in at the radio. I pulled the trim piece in front then there are two screws the hold the radio in place and then the radio comes right out. I plugged the antenna in the hole at the lower right corner and put it all back together. I can get fm stations and play my ipod now.
