Two woofers, one working, need help!
I have 2 12" Subwoofers in the stang with a Powerbass 1600w 4-channel amp. It's current wiring is this setup:
Subwoofer Wiring Diagram
I have two sets of input RCAs on my amp. I only have one set of RCAs that go from the HU (Sony GTX-330) to the amp. The end that connects to the amp are split by splitters (So instead of having one set of RCAs connected to only one input, i have the one split into two to take care of it).
Here's the point im trying to figure out. One subwoofer works, one doesn't. when i switch the channels, same. Checked all wiring and everything, still can't figure it out. It worked fine with the splitters when i bought them but now i can only get out to one sub. WHY? TIA.
CLIFFNOTES (for the non-readers):
Thanks guys.

- Two 12" Subwoofers
- Powerbass 1600w 4 ch. amp
- Two input sets, one set of RCAs
- Used splitters to convert 2 RCAs to 4 to fill in both input sets
- ONE SUBWOOFER WORKING, OTHER NOT
- what do?
Thanks guys.
you swapped rca's and the same woofer still did not work? That means your input is good but something on the output is not right. You can try swapping the speaker wires at the amp or at the box if you want and again see if the same woofer is not working or if the woofer swaps. If the same woofer is still not working then you will need to take a look at the connections inside the box to make sure it is still connected.
Also while the deck is off gently push the non-functional woofer and see if it moves, and if it makes a dragging/scratching noise when moving. Let me know what you find.

I pretty much switched around everything. Took all the wires out of the amp, switched the channels on both subwoofers, switched rca inputs, checked the HU, everything. The subwoofer was fine before, and it's not blown or anything, it should work fine. I just can't figure out what the real problem is.
