Default More Mach Problems...

I just finished installing the infinity kappa speakers on my Mach 460 system. The speakers work great until I start the engine...then they they "pop" and the amp will shut-off and reset. If anyone has a clue what is causing this it would help me a lot. Mahalo

sounds like you have speaker terminals hitting metal which is grounding the system out and putting everything into protection mode. Recheck your speakers and reset the car undo the battery for a few min

Its a possibility that you may have a bad ground connection and/or The speakers cant handle the mach 460's lower resistance: Mach 460 is rated at 2 ohms and most aftermarket speakers are rated at four ohms. The mach 460 speakers are dual voice coil speakers and they were wired at 2 ohms resistance. So unless you find a 2 ohm speaker or replace the originals, that "pop" may never go away or have an affordable fix.
