Exclamation A.M. Tach making consistent "beeeeeeep"

hey everyone, well i am installing an aftermarket tach and it all works fine but when i hook up the white (lighting) wire to a 12v source the tach lights up but it also plays a consistent beeeeeeeeeeep sound, so was just woundering where to wire it into maybe the headlight switch? any help is great, thanks.

you can connect it to the brown wire in the hrns going to the light switch, or you can tap the illumination wire behind the radio.

dunno nothin about no beepin though....

It is vary wired. its a cheap tach but i dont think it should be doing that. the installation instructions say wire it to the fuse panel light. i tried that too, had it on a 5amp fuse in the box and it was working with the dimmer for the dash lights, i turn the dimmer lower the sound go lower, and higher as the lights got brighter.
