If you have the shaker I believe so, if memory serves. I can't say for sure though...never had a shaker.

You will need one of these if you want it done right. As you turn up your music the bass level drops so you will not damage your speakers. With this adapter you get a full music spectrum with no type of cutout.

so this is interesting to me, i am workign directly with JL on this stuff, not a dealer. The product manager guy there says I should unhook the door subs on my shaker 500 rather than upgrade to better JL stuff. He recommends:

C2-570x coaxials powered by the J2-320.4 would be a good match for the sub.

He will need a Cleansweep CL441dsp AND CL-SSI

If the price isn't a concern I'd take his advice. They know how to make their products sound their best better than anyone else.

if you are going into sound quality competitions then you would want the clean sweep. The adapter from PAC is doing the same thing that the cleansweep is doing, just a whole lot cheaper. IF you don't want the bass in the front of your vehicle, then you should disconnect the sub in the door. The 8" sub you are looking at is not the right sub to put in the door. You should use a shallow mount woofer like the Kicker 8 CVT.

Nah, not doing any sound quality competitions. i just wasnt happy with the way the shaker 500 sounded. Very flat and boring. I am a technolgoy writer and was talkgin with JL about checking out some products and this is the gear they recommended. I'm just going by their recommendations and wondering what some other people thought. thanks for the help all.

Dumb question here...

I looked through the site to see if that would work with the 2011 w/ Shaker but didn't see any info on it. Customer service is closed today (sunday). Do you know if it's compatible? I'd really like to get some good low end funk back in the trunk because the stock shaker system sounds as bad as the Blose System I had in my C6.

Thanks,
DJ
