Default Adding Subs to 2011 stock HU

I'm wanting to better the sound quality in my '11 without breaking the bank and keep it as stock looking as possible. Therefore I'd like to move my speakers/subs/amp/wiring from my '00 into my '11. My question is what do I need to make this work with the stock HU? I'd like to add an extra small amp for the door speakers and from what I've read in this thread all I need is a sound processor to allow me to hook my sub amp and (potential)4way amp up. Does this sound right to you guys? Also, since I'm impatient is there a place I can pickup a sound processor, since best buy doesn't seem to carry them?

Well, you will have to check whether the speakers are the right sizes to fit everywhere. I don't know what you had in your '00 or what electronics pkg you have on the '11.

Yes, a sound processor will allow you to "flatten" the signal from the stock head unit, and in some cases they now tune/equalize as well. I ordered mine, though, so I'm not sure who has them in stock at local shops.

You might also need to tap into your stock harnesses to get your signals--that's what I did. The only after-market harness to add an amplifier that I could find was from PAC, and that has their own IC in there doing some kind of flattening of the signal as well.

Unfortunately i dont recommend our add a amp harness for this application. It doesnt work like it should becasue the radio has a separate sub signal. So when our harness is used,it doesnt pass the sub signal due to the built in crossover.Your better off using a LOC and taping into the sub signal from the radio.
