Default 99 Mustang stereo replacement

Om ive spent about an hour searching, and i cant find a wiring diagram for the "amp input" (i think) connector. It is a 8pin connector but with only 5 wires. I wired in the new deck, and it comes on and works. But I'm getting no sound. The 8 pin connector that has the speaker wires is wired into the deck. But I'm wondering if that's the amp input not direct speaker wires. I"m about ready to bypass it all and run my own wires to the speakers.

Thanks for any help.
