So I really don't care for the look of the 2000 double din setups. I searched around for pictures but couldn't find a thread with options.

So I'm wondering if there are options for the 2000 to convert it to one large radio setup. I just would like something like the 2001-2004 have. My buddy had a 3.5" nav touch screen that was really cool. Is there a kit out there that I can do for my car?

Any help or pictures would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: I looked around on Crutchfield. I don't want a motorized/flip out screen. I was hoping to be able to put in a fixed touchscreen like on 05-09 cars.

I've never seen a kit, check out Late Model Restoration, or call Ford or something

I know that a double din conversion is possible, you just need a new center bezel and center console, and new brackets to mount the double din unit. (And all your harnesses but you need those guys anyway)

Those pop out flip up screens are so weak, I'm glad you are on the same page I am.

 

Went in and talked to a local audio company. Guy said I would need to get a 01-04 radio bezel deal to be able to run a Nav screen.

I might just end up going with a single din radio. I'm a complete newb when it comes to this stuff.

I just want a cd player that I can plug my ipod into. I also want it to be Alpine. Crutchfield says I need a Ford harness but I'm not sure which I need. Any help on what I need or a few good Alpine cd players that I can use my ipod with?
