ok, so heres the deal: Put in a new mach 460 deck to replace a busted one. It says cd error. The deck worked perfectly fine prior to the swap in the donor car. Is there something that needs to be done to the mach 460 cd player in order to move the unit to a different car? Maybe a reset button? Some sort of anti theft device? Im out of ideas here. Any help would be really appreciated, thanx guys. (The new car is also a mach 460 with the same kind of deck originally)

your best bet is calling ford and asking them if theres a code to unlock your cd&tape player, and i assume that this is an anti theft kind of thing.
