Window Tint Qs
So this is pretty cheap and i want to get it done.
Some questions though:
What brand should i be going with? I know some purple but i cant be having that.
How much extra to do the moleskin install so it doesnt streak?
In NY legal is a slim 70%, the cars windows are already tinted from the factory will it make a huge difference besides color?
Will 70% even make a difference in light and heat? Can you do 70% side windows and 50% on the rear?
Does a darker tint effect how the rearview mirror switches at night?
Leather protection? 70% vs 50%?
Is this all for naught if you dont tint the front window anyway?
Thanks

3M makes this badass new tint called crystalline, and it DRAMATICALLY improves coolness on a hot day. my friend got this 70% all the way around, full windshield included and it did make a big difference. it is a little darker than stock. it is expensive though. just make sure no matter what you do, you stick with non metallic, which likes to try and interfere with signals from your phone and such.

I was told that the reason tint turns purple is because they used the wrong type of soapy water to get it on straight. If you use a soap with amonia(SP?) in it that is what happens and why places recomend or use baby shampoo with the water.
if you look on ebay you can get pre-cut pieces that cost a bit more but do make it easier.

yeah 70% didnt seem like much but you can tell its there, i looked up the back window and it says any% is ok. i can get 50% which looks nicer but really isnt too dark to catch attention but i have to sign a waiver.
