I've been thinking about buying:

I have no interest in getting one with a GPS or DVD player, just want something that is compatible with my Shaker 1000, has an Aux in and USB input in the front, and bluetooth ready - and this fits the bill and has pretty good ratings on Amazon and Crutchfield.

However, I have not been able to find anyone who has this and replaced their old Shaker 1000 HU with it, although some who replaced their Shaker 500 it and noted better sound quality. I'd like to know if I should expect a change in sound quality/clarity or if it will be relatively the same as my current Shaker 1000 unit. Any advice will help and is appreciated.

you can get a whole lot more bang for your buck in that price range. just sayin.

 

The HU is the same for the Shaker 500/1000. The only difference is the additional subs. At least that is my understanding.
