Default 2008 Sub Pop

I recently installed subs and amp into a 2008 mustang gt w/ shaker 500 system.

I use a Audiocontrol LC2i for my remote on and sub input. How do I stop the subs from popping when I turn my car off?

I have 12v and rear speakers going into LC2i.
12v remote out and L&R signal coming out of LC2i to PDX1000.1

Let me know if you need more info

Thanks!

we need to find out if its the loc thats doing it or your amp. Disconnect the rca's from the loc but leave them hooked up to the amp and see if it still pops. If it doesn't thenit could be the loc if it does still pop then its the amp.

Also try turning down the LOC (if there is a gain control on it) and then to compensate you could turn the gain on the amp up carefully

Subs do not pop when amp is connected but will with loc.. Would a voltage regularity between the loc remote turn n the amp help?

I'm a bit confused here. You added amps, subs, is the popping occurring just from the added ones on shutdown? Did you replace the door ones with this? I assume this is the stock shaker 500 head-unit?

The LOC doesn't kill itself, or the hooked up amps until it no longer senses a signal. So, likely, to remedy you will need to feed any added amps to the turn on/off line of the shaker amp line, and not use the LOC to do the amp on/off triggering.

As in use the 5v shaker amps trigger. This will be probably more problematic than you'd like though, as 12v relays coil trigger won't work usually below 8v as it's input. So you'd have to build/buy a small circuit with transistor to up the voltage(ignore the +12v below):

TIP120, Darlington Transistor is the most commonly used.
Few sold along these lines ready made of course for fairly cheap (minus relay integration, just doing the step-up for you): http://www.ebay.com/itm/2PCS-1V-5V-t...item1c293fd78e (Hong Kong seller in this case)

Or chuck the head-unit, get a decent head-unit, and directly use the amp turn on from it(12v), and just knock it back down to 5v for the shaker amps turn-on(should you still have the factory door subs).
