And I didn't see your reference in the previous post to the 16pin harness. It's the 8pin, not the 16. The 16 is only used for aux connections, in this case the aux-in 3.5mm jack in the center console.

The amp turn on line from the head-unit which is usually light blue with a stripe is used to turn on the factory subs, yes, but not directly. You have to reduce the voltage from 12v to 5v, either with a 5v regulator, or a 1k to 1.5k ohm resistor in-line to that connection.

i admire your patience, thank you wayne, what would happen if i dont use the regulator, will my amp explode or something?

Short-term? Nothing other than a loud thump from the sub speakers.
Long-term? As the turn-on lines are looking to get 5v, and you're giving it 12v, it will at the very least cause a strain on that portion of the circuit in the form of extra heat, and making them fail to function far earlier. Possible damage to the speakers as well, especially as they age.
