Default Subs BEHIND rear seats in an SN95 convertible?

Just curious if anyone has ever tried this?

I have shallow-ish 12s (5.5" mounting depth) so I need around 6-6.5" of depth for the box. They don't take a whole lot of volume (around 0.8-1.0cuft each).

I'm planning on keeping the rear seat but I'm not against modifying it if need-be.

Does anyone have any idea what kind of depth there is between the rear seat and the cavity the top folds into? If there's around 6" SOMEWHERE in there (even at the bottom) it might be doable.

Lmk. I've scoured all over the net and found very little on this idea. I'm trying to get subs in front of the top so I don't have to fight it when the top is down (99% of the time in my car).
