Has anybody been successful in getting a lower price from Sirius Satellite radio?

After struggling with the idea for a while I finally canceled. With other options for music like Tunein and Pandora streaming thru sync I just couldn't justify paying $16/month anymore, although Sirius is simple to use, the Sync system can be fussy sometimes.

After you finally cancel, they usually make their best offer. Pay ahead for 6 months or a year and see what you can get.

I'm curious, too. With 2 vehicles, I'm paying over $200/year.

Yes, I canceled and they contacted me. Gave me a 6 months deal for both of my cars for something like $75 (don't totally recall). But, if you tell them your going to cancel or not renew, ask about their special 6 month service. The only catch is, at the end of 6 months you need to call that that day to cancel and they will renew it for another 6 months at the same low price. Otherwise, it will renew at the normal price.

And the rates are why I never continued the service after the intro period. $5/month is reasonable for the convenience, they would never give that to me, so I just bought an MP3 player and set it to shuffle, paid it self off in less than a year.

Although I cannot do anything with cost, I can help with SYNC questions or concerns. PM me the details, mph07alloy, and I'll see what I can do.

Anyone else experiencing issues, please do the same.

USB (32GB) also works great if you have it. Never renewed Sirius after trial period myself but many offers were sent.

i wish Sirius would offer a "Pay for what you listen to" type of pricing scheme. there are literally 5 stations I listen to. The rest is pointless/useless/of no interest. I'm

Same here, before the merger they talked about doing that and offering a lower rate but all they did was jack up the price.
