you will need to use the original harness. cut the tape loose where you can reroute the wires. The fog light black wire will need to be extended to reach. if you take the tape loose you will see a factory junction for the blacks. Wire a new black to that junction to reach. color match the new plugs and thats it. Only thing is one of the new switches has 2 blacks instead of one. just wire the one black you have to the 2 off the new switch and bamm you are done. I do not recommend moving the rear defrost as the old switch includes a relay and the new switch does not. just put a blank in there.

as far as fitting goes you have to cut some of the plastic out of the dash behind where the bezel goes for the switches to recess back. i used a dremel tool. Leave some plastic that ties the left and right together! Now after you dremel you are going to look at the new bezel and go "now how to I attach the bezel at the bottom where it will not flap?" What i did was drill a small hole at the bottom of the new bezel (where it will be hidden with the shifter bezel) and ran a small headed 2 1/2" screw to the plastic that you were cutting on earlier. I do recommend also drilling that plastic with a small drill bit so you don't bust the plastic that will hold the screw.

Nice work.

Is it possible to use the 2001-2004 Radio Bezel with the 1999-2000 Shifter bezel and console?

Default Do you have all the parts?

Do you have all the parts? I will walk you through it.

You will need:

New center console.
New radio bezel
1 trac control switch
1 trac control plug with about 6 inch leads
1 fog light switch
1 fog light plug with about 6 inch leads

Tools required:

-Something to cut factory plastic behind radio bezel that will be in the way. I used a dremel tool with a straight cutting blade.
-Small wire nuts used for 24 -26 awg wire qty: 10
-Electrical Tape

Default Needed

KingRukus,

You can leave the original center console. You will need to remove it to get to wires but you can put it right back in. However, I would get the newer shifting bezel to go with the newer radio console. I believe the shifter bezel is different. I do know that the newer bezel will not have the trac lock in the shifter bezel because you will be relocating it to the radio bezel. Other than that you can leave the same center console.
