Default Freaking Out

I am almost done installing a new Stereo system in my 06 Mustang the old Skipper 500 just wasn't cutting it. But I am FREAKING out about having to drill a hole in the firewall for the power to the amp. Has anyone done this? should I just wimp out and take it somewhere so they can cut the hole and finish running the wire? I have all the other cables run.

You can take it behind the right side fender well and run it just under the vehicle and up thru a rubber grommet in the passengers floorboard. If you pull off the passenger side kick panel and door sill, it is about where the two of them meet.

I hope your not suggesting to run it underneath the car! That's not a good idea - if road debris slices the jacket of the cable and it comes in contact with chasis ground you're gonna fry something. Best idea is to take it through the firewall, but before you drill you need to know what is on the other side so you don't go screwing something up (like drilling into a brake line).

oh yeah, and use a rubber grommet so that your wire doesn't get sliced there either.

I must apologize. I gave you some bad info. That was the install on my 2005 F-150, not the Mustang. So sorry. Please ignore my above post.
