Default Microphone not working in 2012 Mustang premium coupe

The previous owner changed out the the mirror to one with a small lcd display for a backup camera. Thats fine, but now the microphone wont work for calls or voice recognition with sync. I got my phone which is connected to the mustang, and another phone, which I muted. I tried talking but I couldn't hear anything. The old mirror is still in the car and connected on the passenger side floor. I got down there and tried talking, and still nothing. Then I jumbled some wires around and I could hear rustling/static noises. I thought the mic might be inside the old mirror somewhere, so I tapped on it, and couldn't hear it. So now I think the rustling noise was just static created by the wires. Here is a video I made showing the mess on the floor.

Wiring diagram of how the wires should be wired. Use it to see if you can get the Mic working. Yellow/Green is '+', Blue is '-' . Positions of the wires for the connector are numbers 6 and 14 respectively. or 4 and 5 respectively. It depends on which version of the Mirror you have. I don't know how to tell the difference.

Don't connect any other wires together or bridge them together (touch them to each other) That could cause damage to the APIM.

Can the previous owner tell you if the small lcd worked? Or does it work? On fords with all the modular controllers like yours, three things need to be present for a feature to work.
1) The device/hardware - in this case a mirror with an LCD built-in.
2) The wiring for the device - looks like connector you have is set up for it and the camera
3) The appropriate command set in the module (in this case the APIM) to enable the feature. Not all features are available for all cars. This programming can be done by a DIYer though ForScan, IF they know what they are doing. I've seen people mess up their cars when they just start changing values in a module.

If the LCD did not work:
My guess is they got items one and two taken care of but got stuck on item 3.

If the LCD worked:
Then my guess is they disabled the mic when they enabled the LCD (if that's possible) to avoid getting any errors of a mic not being present.

Thanks for the diagram, I will try to follow it the best I can. Im not sure if the lcd works because the previous owner took the backup camera with him . I didn't get a replacement yet because he also made a rats nest out of those wires, and im still trying to sort those out. I assume it does work though.
