Default Gain Match?

I tried to gain match my amp off the tutorial on JLAudio but all I keep getting on the amp's channels was 0 volts. Gain down,0, gain up zero. Nothing made it change, but the subs did work. They still do but it sounds like **** and needs tuned in.

Are you using AC, or DC to check voltage???? I bet you need to change off of DC. Meters don't lie, if they are being used properly.

You need to use AC not DC on the meter. You are measuring for Vrms which is a AC voltage.

ya and amp is basicly a votage converter well alot more complicated but thats what it does. if you had a strong enough amp you could power some power tools off of it.

Do I really need one of those sine wave cd's to tune in an amp or could I just use a cd? Where would I buy one of these?
