Amplifier help!!!
heres the exact amp that i have http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...RK%3AMEWN%3AIT
If I am understanding correctly, you have the option of running low level inputs or high level inputs. Low level are rca inputs. You run rca's from your stereo's outputs to your amplifier's inputs. High level inputs means you run speaker wires from your head unit to the amp. You need to use one or the other but, not both. Which are you running now?
Are your RCA inputs not working? You really are better off running low level inputs than speaker level inputs but, you can do whatever you like. What kind of head unit do you have and how many speakers are you trying to power with the amp? Your amp is 4 channel so, how are you trying to hook it up? If you are just trying to run your subs and you have front and rear speakers running off your deck, you will have to give up something in order to use speaker level inputs.
im only using itn to power the 2 subs... everything else is powered by another amp, i have a dual deck (slide down one with like 3 ***** on it) i just showed my friend and he said the 2 rca plug ports that come outta the back of the deck or for regular speakers not subs.. because when i had them on i was gettin vocal out of them but i dunno if i will need a diff deck now depending on how true this is
There are several ways to go about this. Does your Dual deck have more than one set of preamp outs(rca)? What is the other amp you are running? What you should be able to do is bridge your Kingwood amp and run it as a two channel amp, one channel to each sub. The amp should have built in crossovers. You will need to set it for low pass and that way it will run only bass to the subs. As long as your Dual deck has more than one set of rca's, you should be able to work it out. Just give as much info as you can. Brands and model numbers will help alot.
yes my deck has 2 sets of rca's right now the 2 tweaters, 2 door speakers and rear deck speakers all go to 1 set of rca's, they are hooked up with a STOCK FORD amp i think its about 300 watts very hard to get to tho cuz its under the passanger seat. the amp has a switch on it FULL or LPF? i think but i will provide model numbers when i get back from school
sorry i confused it i have 2 sets of rca outputs on the back of my deck, right now the 6 speakers are connected by a diff kinda plug theres an auxilory set of rca cables that right now lets me play my ipod and then theres another set of rca's on the back of it.. i confused this b4 but this is the way my deck is wired, see i have the rca's running to my amp with the crossover for low pass so i only get the bass but its very low i kno theres no problem with the amp and the subs r fine, but why is it playing so low... my friend said i dont have a subwoofer menu on the deck, meaning i cant turn the volume up on them without turning the volume up on all of them, right now it powers up as soon as i power the deck up
wow---i'm totally disappointed in this forum. not once did anyone suggest that he check his headunit for subwoofer level control. Now i have no idea if your deck has a sub control but if it does you can try to raise the level on that. also, you should never run speaker level inputs over rca's for a sub unless there is a problem with the rca's. Like dconder said, we would need the model number off of your deck to know if it has sub level controls.
