Default Please give me some help guys!

I have a 1989 Mustang LX Convertible (2.3L I4). I want to put in a aftermarket sound system. I need to know what the size's of the front and rear speakers. It's not Premium audio either... Can I put larger speakers in the rear without any cutting? How do I get to the rear speakers? How do I get to the front speakers?

I would really appreciate some help with this!

Thanks guys.

you have either 5x7 or 4x6 plates is those locations. you will have to remove the back deck to get to the speakers which means you will need to remove the plastic trim around the back window the back decks mounting places can be accessed on the underside in the trunk

its a convertible. but to the original poster, go out and buy 3.5" coaxs for the dash. those little grills just pop off. buy a set of nice 6" co-ax's for the doors and the rear trim panels are a bit tricky to get off. you'll have to look at em closely to find the screws holding them on. and a good set of 6.5" coaxs will fit them. also go to www.crutchfield.com they will be able to tell you what fits your car.

Ok, how do I get the fron door panels off? And how do I get the rear panels off?

Is it really worth the time and money to replace the speakers if I'm only using a Sony Xplode headunit?

its always going to sound alot better with the new speakers. to tell you how to take it apart I would have to see the car. mose cars hide things every where also do you have power windows.
