any JL sub in my opinion is worth it, but u should be able to get 2 12's into your trunk in a vert....i did..

 

How did you do it moocow? I could prob do it in seperate boxes. It would all work out as long as i can pull them out without *too much* hassle. I also need to have room to mount a bottle.

once again, thanks for all the replies. The more i read about JL as a company the more impressed I am with them. So i've decided to save the money up to do the whole car with JL stuff........The wait will suck...but i think it will be worth it. Lookin at goin with VR series components and JL 4 channel amp, and a single 13W7 and the JL 1000/1 amp. Probably a clarion HU.

you can't go wrong with JL altho in my opinion they are a bit overpriced, they are still a great company

 

Why not check out something like THIS you can easily get two of these in your car and not even hae to worry about taking them out when you go on vacations

That definately is an option. I've been doing some more research on the subject, and still havn't ordered anything, but what i have been seriously considering doing is getting one sub to put in a box behind the drivers seat. Reason being that I've heard that you have alot of loss with the car being a convertible to start with. I think that this might be the best option because if i get something such as a JL 13w6v2 I can use my memphis amp and have more than enough power to run it, actually 100rms more than will be needed if i'm figuring it right. And in the event that the planets line up and i actually have more than 3 people in my car, i can just pull it out. I know that it might look ghetto in the summer with the top down, but I plan on getting one of those speedstar tonneu <sp> covers so you won't be able to see it anyway. Anyway, thats what i'm thinkin at this immediate moment. Thanks for your time to link those slimline subs, i'll keep that page bookmarked just in case.

jl audio is actualy for quality they dont bump that well i would get a 2 12" mojo memphis (TYPO) they bump alot harder memphis owns in every bass comp

 

wow that is a total newb remark...i know that they are made for quality but at the same time they can really pound in right application. Memphis is nice gear too.
