None.
No.
Never. Ever. Get. A. Prefabbed. Bandpass. Box.
PLEASE.
Bandpass boxes can sound the best out of any box design..... given the correct SPEAKER and correct volumes and correct tuning frequency(s) (You know those little bose speakers? Bandpass box.)
Also you'll have to know if you're going 4th order bandpass or 6th order bandpass, there's big differences. Bandpasses have to be the perfect volume and tuning frequency to make a sub sound good. The box you're looking at is probably made out of thin particleboard(rattles and absorbs water and comes apart) instead of 3/4 inch MDF (fiberboard... doesn't absorb water as much) and probably has a thin plexiglass viewing window that is somewhat large
What kind of amp are you looking at? Your speakers dictate the Ohm Load (resistance)... therefore vicariously affecting the amount of power the amp produces. Most multi channel amps are only 2-ohm stable (4-ohm bridged)
Stock car speakers are usually between 6 and 8 ohms, and there's four of them at least, so you'll need one four channel amp just for your speakers if you're amping them. (which probably wouldn't be worth it on stock speakers)
You're either going to need a Line Out Converter or an aftermarket headunit... LOC's are a pain in the ***.
Then you'll need to run probably 4-gauge wire to the rear of the car from the battery, get behind your head unit and run RCA's to the rear of the car, then rewire all your speakers with new speaker wire,

i have the wires ran from my previous 600w mono amp and im lookin at buying a multi channel to run subs and maybe front or rear speakers too....would u need like specs of the bandpass box to find what speaker sounds best or what speaker maybe it was made for?
you have to find subs that will allow to be in a bandpass first then you will need someone to design a box for you and or build one if you cant. and how much room are you looking to loose? bandpass boxes take alot usually.
and for amps what happened to your mono amp? you usually want to run a mono amp with subs especially in a bandpass or ported because they have sub sonic filters.

my amp got jacked,im tradin my 12s to get an amp and then il just buy some 10s.
but by the measurements of the box can u find what sub (by the specs) will sound good in it? i like this box,its pretty small, and fits perfectly in my trunk...
also have u ever heard a jensen amp? its a 1500w competition amp with a ton of gauges and looks really complex,i might trade my 12s and 50 bucks for it.....
I think its like a mid 90s amp....im fixin to google it and see if i can find a pic...

if even that much! dont get a multi-channel becuase they are for small speakers not subs. as for the box you would be better getting a sealed box for the new subs. It will hit alot harder when its sealed. if you want it to be a little louder get a ported. just get rid of the bandpass they are all for looks (most of them are made very cheap, just that they sell for alot because they look cool) dont fall for the market scam!
its prolly a 10-15 yr old amp and bandpass box,and i had the audio guy test it and he said it was a good amp-put out a little over 1300 watts when he tested it.....and yeah the bandpass box looks really good and becuz its kinda old i think its a lot better quality than the ones now a days......what brand subs usually sound good in bandpass boxes and what size watts is a good range for one.....i wanna try n use it,i think im going to let the best car audio place look at it and see what he thinks this weekend and see if he thinks any of his jls he sells will sound good in it....but i cant find this jensen amp anywhere online and im wondering why not.....im pretty impressed with how it pushed my friends 12s...but i dont have that much knowledge about what to set all those buttons and settings so i kinda dont wanna have to mess with it nor pay a pro to set it...
jensens are made very cheap (cheap parts). jensen is really a company that is allways going out of busness, change the name, and then make the same crap with a diffrent name. bandpass box you would want a real low watts (200 or so) because the louder it gets the worst it sounds.
