Its basically a thick piece of vynal that goes on ur trunklid, or anywhere in your car basically, it reduces the rattling especially when you have subs, you can buy it anywhere, audio shop, bestbuy etc. its pretty expensive tho about $40 for 4 square feet. I did my trunk, rear deck, doors, and rear pillars and man it made a HUGE difference you dont think it would but it really does, i did two layers on everything and my car is practically sound proof.... they also have foam that you can use but I havent use it or know of anyone that has.

Oh yeah mustanggurl if your worried about your box go to home depot and where they sell the hinges for doors and crap you can find that L shaped plate with screws so you can bolt your box down, it only costs like $4 and its really easy to do...

dynamat is the key! You can buy it at any place that sales car audio. Dynamat is noise damping. It is basically the same thing used under the inside of your hood. It would cost alot to do the whole car condisering they would have to remove the carpet, seats etc... You can buy a roll and do the trunk yourself. Thats what I would do. Its really the rear of the car that rattles like hell.

I might just go to a car audio place and see what they can do for me and for how much.... Im sick of it!!

Also, how can I reduce the rattle/vibration from the bass?? I hate the way it sounds sometimes... I put padding under my license plate and plate frame which reduced it about 50% but theres still alot of rattle. Is it because the subs are sitting on the floor of the trunk?? Should I bolt the box to the body in the top of the trunk?? Would that reduce rattle??

Thanks

I am running 2 12 inch MTX 9500, with MTX 8100 class D amp, Mb Quart 6.5 component set front doors, Mb Quart 6.5 rear, Mtx 275x running highs and mids with 1.0 F Lightning cap. It is crazy loud in the Camaro, considering I have the custom box where the subs fire off the hatch. I have already received two tickets and was told the third strike is a misdemenor!! That sucks

Thanks for all the help!! So I just put it under the trunk liner anywhere I can stick it? And that helps the rattling or it makes it so you cant hear the bass on the outside of the car?? Weird.... Never even heard of this stuff!

Also, im probably going to look into getting some of those L-shaped hinges I know exactly what youre talking about... So I can screw the screws into the liner?

Hey guys I finally got the system in and I love it, how ever I have 2 questions, outside the wing on my car rattles like hell, and my lights dim like crazy when I got it really high, one time the subs hit so hard the cd player just turned off, and then i turned the car off later and the battary was dead, am I playing it to much, to loud? do I need a power capacitator? diff. alternator? what about the rattling outside the car?
