well im not sure... but alot of people say it is one of the most worthwile mods(4.10s for sure, 3.73s may not be that much better than 3.73s) every time you shift your rpms stay in the powerband so you pull faster, ie you want to be in powerband at all times. with stock gears your rpms drop out of the powerband which isnt efficient. do not go with 3.73s unless you do alot of freeway driving at 85 mph for like 30mi per day. i bet you wouldnt lose mpg overall and gain mpg city. imo 3.73s aren't worth it unless you go f/i
4.10s with sticky street tires + ground ripping launch i think you could get .3 of your et

Default RE: Gears?

Well since the Bullitts apparently came with 3.27 gears, I'd imagine that 3.73's will be quite noticably steeper.......giving you better acceleration thru the whole powerband. 4.10's will swill out even more grunt. Shorter gears will impact your fuel economy in a minor way(not that you should be concerned about mpg ), but other than that they are a knockout mod for an NA mustang..........or, ANY mustang...really[8D]

As far as how much of an improvement you'll see in your ET's........I'm not certain on the Bullitts. You guys apparently perform alot better than the other New Edge GT's in the 1/4 so its hard for me to say for certain. I've seen standard 2V GT's gain as much as a .5 improvement out of 4.10's....so I'd have to guess that if you are on your game, and have taken the time to get used to the steeper gears, you could probably see anywhere from a .3 to as much as a .6 improvement. Gears truly can do wonders.
