Wrong. They closed that loop hole. You can still get a ticket in Cali for not having Cali tags. Even if you are registered out of state. Trust me I tried and I also work for the Sheriff's department and know/work with alot of cops.

they can't enforce their laws on another states laws. it's against federal laws.

This. If you own property in another state, you have every right to have your personal belongings registered there. That's like saying people driving to CAlifornia for vacation can get tickets if they park in the city with Arizona plates.

as long as your car is legal where the car is registered they can't touch it. like wen i got pulled over in SC and the cop gave me a ticket for not having a muffler on the V6. in GA you dont need mufflers, ticket got tossed. the other cop told me it would. the only thin they can do is hope you dont know enough about the law and just pay it.
