Man that sucks. My brother is a Type 1. He is doing pretty well so far but has to use an insulin pump. His numbers stay pretty steady but he works hard to keep it that way.
Doc told me I had a higher chance of it because my brother has it so I have been kinda paranoid about it.
It's manageable, just do TONS of research and really find out what you can and can't eat.

My brother is an Elementary School Principal and they were doing testing on the kids. So to prove how it was no big deal he got tested and came back with a 700. They took him to the hospital and dropped the bomb on him. Type 1. What a way to find out.

 

Wow, I'm in the same boat levels have came down alot 270-300 from 629 but still needs to come down and if they don't off the hopstail I go to bring out the big guns to bring it down. I've been doing my part, for the most part when it comes to eating. Shots and checking sugar isn't a big deal to me.


Funny how I found out, I was drinking alot...I mean ALOT pitcher of water while at dinner and constantly drink and giong to the bathroom every 30 mins to a hour. One of my co-works mention how he Dad was the same way and he was diabetic. So 2 hours after lunch check it and it read "hi" not a number, just "hi". My number was so high it couldn't register on the scanner, tried another co-workers and same thing. Hour later I was in the Dr. office and max their scanner out too!

Needless to say I have the new high score in the Dr. Office and at work lol.


In other news I bought some new tools..to make me happy. Atleast that's what I'm telling everyone. I love cars, tools, rum! lol
