Thanks buddy, way I see it anything can happen to the best/worst of us. I'm grateful to have caught it early ish. A1c levels were 14.
Started to get specialty tools for when the shop opens at 40-42 area. I do install/repair behind my house now, have a smaller shop out there. In case anyone ever needs anything, mustang or any other car.

What a weekend. Started on Friday with the home inspection on the "new" house. There are some moisture issues in the basement that might be a deal breaker if the owner doesn't want to help us out with repairs. We sent the repair request letter Saturday morning so hopefully we will hear something back today. I'm sure he's probably waiting to get some estimates. All the other deficiencies that the inspector found were minor.
Also on Friday we added a new member to our family.
Her name is Sadie.

She's a boxer. 6 weeks old. Already eating puppy chow and terrorizing any socks/fingers/pant legs she can get her little razor sharp teeth into. LOL.
Then on Sunday I got a call from the Fraud Prevention dept. at my bank. Someone got my debit card # and was having some fun running multiple small charges through some UK travel agency!! So now my bank account is frozen until I get in touch with the bank and get it figured out. This is the first time I've had this happen and of course it has to happen right now when we are going through all the stuff with the mortgage.

Sorry to hear Jeff, nothing pisses me off more than a theif!
What's the nature of the moisture? I use to do construction and still do detailing for houses and etc. Need any help or advice let me know.
Pup is cute, I'm wanting to get a blue razor pitbull.

I know right!
Yeah, it's crazy. I'm calling the bank here in a minute to find out what the next steps are to get my $$ back and get me a new card.
The moisture is penetrating the block walls inside the basement garage.

Part of it is the way that the ground is sloped from about 3' out, it slopes back towards the house instead of being sloped away and carrying the water away. The inspectors recommendation is to dig it up and have the block foundation water proofed and the yard sloped properly. I think it's code that the foundation should have been water proofed at time of construction but maybe not. I noticed the staining on the inside walls when we first looked at the house but I didn't think much of it. Silly me. The odd part is that the other half of the basement is finished and there's no evidence of this issue on the drywall over there.
Wife won't allow a Pit, Rottweiler or Doberman in the house. She grew up with little dogs so the Boxer is a big change for her.

Sadie is too cute, even when she was chomping on my hand at 0400 this morning. LOL. She's going to learn real soon how to sleep in her crate. Jenn's too tender-hearted to put "the baby" in there and let her calm down.
I know right!

Basically it should be basement wall---stud---vapor barrier--drywall If they did basement wall ---drywall then you would see evdience. But if the slope of the ground in that area is correct, then you won't see any signs anyway.
