OK, here goes, I shot a video and downloaded some editing software to play with, I need to train my cameraman a bit better but overall I think it turned out well. I would embed it but I don't know how, maybe one of you video savvy folks can figure it out. Here's the code:
<iframe width="1280" height="750" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/YXfOXlw2Jlk?hd=1" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I wonder if it would be possible to mount a camera on a car somehow and pick up the car noise but not the wind noise...I'm going to try and figure that one out.

The source video has the engine noise and whatever the radio is playing (plus my froggy voice singing along, yep THAT track got deleted) without a bunch of wind noise.
A remote mic under the hood maybe?

The foam covers used on mics in outdoor interviews might stop the wind noise.

I just think that would be really sick. Get all the car noise (especially through tunnels). Maybe if I wrap a GoPro camera in a thin foam...idk.

Or true, run a separate mic away from the camera.
