Does anyone know of a racetrack where you can drive your own mustang on the closed course? I wanted to plan this out as an anniversary gift to my husband and he mentioned a place in Virginia a while back... We are in North Carolina but we would be open to driving a bit North or South to get to a good course.

Any ideas?

Too far away for you but Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, is amazing. They have open track days and it's a 4 mile long road course. They've even occasionally hosted NASCAR races there (yes, NASCAR on a track that's not an oval!), but this track attracts the best of the best to race there.

I'm surprised with how popular racing is in your area that you can't find anything. Try Googling tracks in your area and researching if they have open track days. Keep in mind that it could be somewhat pricey and most tracks will require some safety gear such as helmets, etc. Their websites will outline all of the information you need to know, however.
