Looks great alan! Didnt realize your car had so few miles on it, thought you were in the 20k region. All these easy mods for the 5.4, kinda tempting.

Yeah i clayed the glass on mine, but the spray i was using (meguires) leaves so many streaks it wasnt worth it. Had to scrub with some rainx 3-4 times to get it off.

I usually use the meguiars quick detailer for the clay on the glass. Then go back and use some mequiars ultimate. Never had any problems with streaks.

These are the products I used today. All of the Chemical Guys stuff worked really well. The V07 probably leaves a better shine than Adam's, but I believe Adam's leaves it feeling a little slicker.

The stock mufflers are big and stand out

So I painted them with a high heat Rust-Oleum product to make them blend in a bit more -

Detailed the fender wells including the rotors -

Cleaned and waxed the wheels (Capital Ford used Vaseline to make them shine I think)

Got my Redline hood struts (Saturday delivery from Hypermotive along with my side splitters)

Cleaned the interior with CG Glassworkz and P-40 detailer

Dressed all the trim with CG New Look Trim Gel, 50/50 shot of the front splitter -

And some shots of the final product, nice gloss from the CG V-07

two words Alan...YOU'RE HIRED!!

car looks amazing...and thanks for the close-up cuz i know i didn't notice the black pinstriping on the red lemans stripes

Thanks guys, it was a great day. I love to detail a car, it's a great release for me. Gives you a great sense of accomplishment when are done.

I've had good luck with Invisible Glass and cotton cloths. Don't use paper towels.

Yeah I'm starting to get that vibe with the paper towels, problem is half of my cloths get stolen by the dogs so I never have enough.

Does that new trim gel get rid of wax residue?

I have a small stiff detail brush that I use and then the trim get does the rest. The best method is to not get the wax on the trim to begin with. It takes a bit of time, but taping up the trim before waxing makes it a lot easier.

yeah...this is a good practice amsking it off, especially with the 10-12's as there is GOBS of that textured plastic on our cars
