Storing Mustang for Winter
This is the first winter I've had my Mustang and I plan on storing it in a garage until next summer. Anybody have any suggestions on what I should do with the oil, fuel, air in tires etc?
It's a sad day for me putting the Mustang up. Now I'm driving a 1990 Toyota Corolla!!

Keep the fuel tank over half full, change the oil before you drive it next summer, and the tire pressure shouldn't need to be adjusted-just check it before you take it out next summer. Of course, if you have a garage you don't have a whole lot to worry about. I wish I could keep from driving my cobra all winter, but the POS 81' Civic I have just overheated so the snake might have to make a trip or two on the ice, but that should be fun so.........................

tips on storing your car: deflate the tire to about 20 psi to insure no flat spots, you dont want to leave the gas tank half full mainly because in doing that condensation will eventually form on colder days and will rust the tank, i suggest leaving a full tank, and adding Sta-Bil fuel stabalizer. As far as the engine goes, dont just leave the thing sitting there for 4 months, the rule of thumb goes, that the transmission, if an automatic, needs those presious fluids to keep all the seals fresh. the engine is the same way. Remember though, when starting the car up, make sure it gets to operating temp, or the condensation will build up in your exhaust, causing it to rust over time. When you do decide to uncover it for the summer, change all the fluids, and flush the rad out. inflate the tires again and the car will be like the day you left it
