Looking for some ideas.
So in the 1999-2004 mustangs as many of you know there are some plastic interior pieces that can be popped off and painted, like some terminators came with. Some of my stock pieces started peeling a little so I decided to get them painted. I want something different than just dupli-color paint though. I was thinking of having them custom painted and possibly air-brushed. I was looking for ideas. I just swapped in a 03/04 cobra gauge cluster so I like the idea of the silver/red theme and I was thinking painting them red to match the body with some silver reflective flakes that only pop when the sun hits them or something but I can't decide how it'll look. Mainly the door inserts and radio/shifter bezel area. Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks.

Mine look the same way, but i am nervous to paint them red...It's such a bright color that it can be overdone very quickly on the interior... Silver on the shifter bezel and around the radio/air controls looks great (just like the machs). That's something to think about...
I actually painted mine silver. Turned out to not be the color of silver I wanted. So I don't want to repaint them silver again. I kindof want to have them professionally done but its going to be expensive and if I'm having it professionally done I want to do something different, possibly, but I have the same concern about the red being too much. I'm trying to think of some mix/combo of two of either red, black, or silver.
This is my car:

It came with it, I planned on doing the piece by the shift **** back black and doing the stuff around the a/c and such black with a red pinstripe. just.. too.. much.. red.. lol

See thats too much red for me already, I don't like it, of offense.
Thanks for the chop man I wasn't even expecting one. It is a bit too glittery but I like the idea. Think you could so silver with red flakes by any chance??

I am sorry, I have made many attempts at the silver and cannot seem to get anything close to resembling it. So it is now up to your imagination.
I think the main reason Imp's interior seems so over whelming is just because it is so bright, if you were to do the same thing in a deeper/ darker red, it would look much better. Maybe go with something more subtle and not so flashy.

I agree on the too much. I bought it that way, so no offense taken, lol. I opened the door and was like 'wow.. gross' whoever painted it used the bright red thats on the outside of the car. I planned on doing some of it (the vents, the part around the door handle and the guages) back black and making the rest a darker red cherry red like I had planned on painting the outside of the car.
...but then I blew it up. So f*ck it all
