Haha do itttt!

Yeah the corrosion freakin sucks. Ford won't do anything about it either. I take a lot of pride in how my car looks and it's really holding it back

where is the corrosion at? i mean, its an aluminum hood yes? i know aluminum can oxide and stuff, but enough to affect a painted part?

thats very weird Ford won't address it..

It's all along the lip, the inch or so that slopes down. Both sides too, top and bottom, the whole way across. It looks terrible.

I've called, left voice-mails, addressed the TSB, PMed the "Ford rep" on here, went to the dealer and either was ignored or basically given a line of bs. Some people have gotten it fixed but it's like throwing stones in the dark. I'm throwing in the towel on this one. Seems like Ford's quality control person just sits there with their dick in their hand all day.

sucks they won't cover it, but i'd imagine they're playing the 'out of warranty' card. i had a truck that developed some orange peel/bird feet (or whatever it's called... failed sections looked like small cracks in the shape of a bird's foot). truck was only 3 or 4 years old and just came out of factory warranty after i bought it... i had to go through my insurance company to get it fixed.

...kind of a funny thing, though... the dealer i bought it from did the repaint, and they ended up buffing my windows, thus screwing them up and they wouldn't do anything about it, so i ended up trading it in for my first mustang... glad i did, too

Yeah, time for improvement. I'd rather not drop a G on a new hood (rather go for some Koni Yellows or new wheels), but in the end it will look good. Hopefully I'll have it ordered by the end of May/early June
