ever since i noticed how the body color is the same as the color between the 3 sectioned tail lights of the 94\95s, ive wondered if having the black horizontal stripe painted white on mine would look decent or just goofy. this isnt my car, but it was the best white one with the 83-85\93cobra tail i could find

it looks good i see it done all the time it really pulls the back end together

 

you gotta select the area, desaturate it, and use the color balance/brightness contrast to get the right color. that way you keep both the lighting and the original body lines.

probably your basic automotive paint. make sure you get a clearcoat spray too, you dont want it to look flat and have a different texture than the rest of the body.
