Default Headers for a '69 Fastback w/FE block?

As it says, who makes a good set of headers for a FE block in a '69?
They NEED to be 1 7/8" or 2" primary tubes and fit with PS. No A/C.
Manual transmission preferred. Please help me out.

TIA,

Eric

Yeah, their Tri-Y is probably your best bet. You'll still probably have to use an extended PS cylinder to frame bracket. Don't just bolt it on, weld it, these can pull the nuts out of the frame, leaving you stranded. Ask me how I know.

Thanks guy's! These are the heads that they will be going with. The valves are custom Ferrea SS. Intake 2.19", Exhaust 1.78". They are pictured next to a set of 427 "medium risers". Ported they flow 320 @ .600 in and 230 @ .600 out. With a custom ground camshaft: .598/.594 lift for S/C.
So, they REALLY need to flow! (Click on pic's to enlarge, I placed a dime in a couple of the pic's to show the port improvements.)

Looks grea, but how are you planning on using this engine? It seems like it will be a high reving monster, but will it have the bottom end torque you need for reasonable street manners, idle, and longevity? If it is strip only, then nevermind.

If he's running a SC, that will add some torque... :-)

If you want the most power you can get buy tri y headers they work great and they do give more power then any other design of headers.

Gary H. Got it! Yes it will be blown. 13# for daily use and 15-18# for strip.
With 427 CID, it will have plenty of Torque! ('68 side-oiler block)
Forged crank, rods and pistons. 4 cross-bolt main bolts.
Baseline figures are 887HP@ 6,500 rpm and 1,250# TQ @4,000 rpm. @ 13#
FAST injection and a custom aluminum frame. 6-speed tranny (warranted to 2,000 HP)
A little more than adequate low-end torque. LOL!
And thanks for the link to Crites!!!
