Default Changing a Carb... leads to a new hood???WTF

So like said changed the carb this weekend to one with an electric choke and slightly lower CFM... problem is my hood which was already to close to the air intake will not fit the new carb....

I decided to switch hoods because with this set up my car just runs better and short of dropping the motor an inch this is my option.....

This is the hood I want... expensive yes but I dont want to be caught with a cheap hood.... anybody know anything about how good this fiberglass hood may be? For this kind of cash it better be damn good, in fact darn near perfect.

Have no fear I am going with a different style probably a shelby scoop or something... thinking about using a steel hood and making my own.

That would be cool. You can get the steel frame and make your own fiberglass hood also if you wanted. But if you use the steel hood you could definately do some fabricating and with you and JMD's skills Im sure you could make it pretty sweet.

Check your dip stick Jimmy! Wouldn't a drop base air cleaner be cheaper? Check summit, they have several different drop lengths. That mod saved my butt.
