@ least that way you cant blame the prior owner for the poor craftmanship. a person should be able to find a project for less than 12k but both posted earlier are in much beter shape than my $650 bucket.

I'm in Nor Cal and they are pretty high as well. I would say that the 18k is a starting point and haggle. Explain that is is going to cost to remove some of the "clone" stuff that was done. See how low they go, you may get a good deal, the car looks in decent shape.

That fastback looks like it has good potential, but its definitely not a Shelby clone. In my opinion, it should be put back to stock appearance.

Could you please get rid of that animated picture in your signature. I have cable internet and it still bogs down the page because of it.

If you find a fastback for around 10k, it is probalby going to need some TLC. I would say a fair price for a nice fastback is 15-20k.

I've seen rusted out fastback shells with nothing else sell for 10,000! It blows my mind when I see this crap. Many I've seen sell to overseas buyers. I'd love to find a 60s fastback for myself that can be driven though still needs work however I don't see it happening due to the prices they sell for.

Buying a car thats "finished" is down right scary imo. You have no idea of the kind of work put into it. If they couldn't have taken the time to align the body panels better than in those pics their quality of work is likely just as poor. Look at the quality of the paint and stripes! This car was tossed together very quickly with no regards to quality.

10k at most and know you'll be spending a LOT of time and money. At least its white.. its the perfect color to repaint!

We have all seen them sell high but if you look hard enough i think you could do better than that... Any engine condition or bay pics? I mean if it has a rebuilt beautiful engine worth 10k it may be worth it...

I have to agree you do not know what you're getting there. I bought my 69 Sportroof for $14.5 and here's the thread that followed.

Still being worked on but getting closer to a manageable project. I will say I bought it back before the "recession" hit.
