Default I wanna rip a burn out SO BAD

...but i only have about 10 miles on my new rear set up (t-lok with 3.70s, new 31 spline axles). I also broke in the rear properly but i havent done a fluid change yet bc i have to pull the third member out. How long until i can see how good this t-lok lays down the lines? should i change the fluid first? im pretty sure id have to pull the axles out to pull the 3rd member to change the fluid right?

I would think it would lay down more dashes than lines. Wheel hop sucks

I haven't hopped my wheels since I installed the Traction Masters. Not a monster, just a 289HP/4-speed.

I would wait for about 200 miles to do a real burn-out and beat on teh new gears. Let them get seated, worn a bit, and surfaces matched before you mess with it.

I would wait for a few hunderd miles as well.

Does a fresh rear end need to have the fluid changed soon after being broken in? I've never heard of anyone doing that.

Waiting is good, BUT... A high quality gearset is lapped at the factory and if setup properly won't require any breakin or oil changes any time soon. Do you have good stuff installed by good people? If so, no worries. Otherwise, 500 miles is a decent breakin for a rear. Still, lighting the tires won't hurt either way. Pulling a 4500 pound trailer cross country would be frowned on, but wasting tires won't hurt the gears (if properly setup, etc.)

Unfortunately for me, the last thing I ripped was just a fart.
